A re-make of the Beach Boys Big Sur.

A woman was singing. Anyone know who did this cover?

Pet Sounds Overrated?

A BBC radio station survey came up with a list of the 10 most overrated albums of all time.

They included Pet Sounds at number 8. That's crazy!

Here is the whole list.

Ten years ago, I found a copy of "Wouldn't It be Nice" in a used bookstore.
I opened the cover and saw it was signed by Brian.
I was very happy about this discovery!

A Brian influenced demo release

Hi Folks

ive been working on a set of music which will hopefully soon form my first solo release. Whilst im not convinced its likely to me immediately obvious from listening to the music, Brian Wilson is by far and away my biggest musical influence, so I hope it might be of interest to you.

Live8 Berlin

Brian Wilson is playing at Live8 in Berlin on July 2.

I've heard that the Berlin Live8 concert has been having trouble getting financial support and the artists may have to contibute to the cost.

Those recordings are so great. It would be good if it went beyond 1969.

Chaplin & Fataar

I am listening to "Carl and the Passions - So Tough" right now at work.

Nobody believes me when I tell them it's a Beach Boys CD. It's a very different sound for the Beach Boys.

I really like the CDs that Chaplin anf Fataar contributed to (although Brians' work was minimal). It would be good if they worked with Brian again.

For years I had listened to The Beach Boys bootleg version of this album. I thought it was great and deserved a ligitimate release.

When I found out Brian Wilson was re-recording the whole thing as a solo album, I was expecting something pretty lame.

I can't explain how wrong I was. The new version is actually better than The Beach Boys version.

It's a masterpiece!

Least favorite song?

I know that BW has said that "Love You" is one of his favorite Beach Boys albums, but I have always thought it was pretty lame.

Everything about it is of poor quality. Lyrics, production, singing. Even the album cover sucks.

Is this guy in a band with that blonde chick who is married to hottie Billy Baldwin and whose mother Michelle Phillips was the pretty lady who used to be on Falcon Crest or whatnot? I know there's a Wilson in that band. I've got ALL their cd's, but I'm having trouble locating them because I can't remember whether I filed them under "W" or under "P."
